Franca Sozzani, Steven Klein, Catherin Martin, Patrick Park, and Baz Luhrmann were all honoured last night at the New York Ball.
Held at Donald Trump’s, Trump Tower, the ball was filled with warm bodies, all there to raise funds for the European School of Economics Foundation scholarship and grants program. Hosted by ‘momager extradinaire,’ Kris Jenner in attendance were fashion’s famous faces, among them, Zac Pose, Peter Dundas, Natasha Poly, and Coco Rocha, who all gleamed amongst the New York socialite.
However it was Franca Sozzani that the night belonged to. Bestowed the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award,’ by designer friend, and living legend, Valentino. She told style.com, “I consider the fashion world [to have] given me a lot. But I’ve given a lot to this world. I say that I’m just starting out. I’m starting out using Vogue as a platform for something else, for the next step.”
The charitable evening ran long into the night, with Craig David performing, and the auction raising funds for the organisation. Baz Luhrmann and his wife, auctioned off a walk on role in one of his upcoming films, and a Barney’s lunch date with the famous couple.
